We review what you want to build or improve, take measurements, and confirm constraints like walls, floors, and existing trim profiles.
We confirm materials, style details, and what’s included—so you know exactly what you’re getting before work begins.

We review alignment and finish details, then clean up the work area so the space is ready to use.

Custom carpentry is where quality shows. If your trim lines don’t meet cleanly, your doors don’t close right, or your built-ins feel “off,” it’s noticeable every day. Moonz Contracting provides custom and finish carpentry with careful measurement and a clean, professional look. Whether you’re upgrading a room, repairing worn details in an older home, or adding built-ins for function and storage, we’ll help you choose practical solutions and deliver a fit-and-finish you can be proud of.
We focus on the details—tight joints, consistent spacing, and a finished look that elevates the entire room.
Great carpentry starts with accurate layout and measurement—especially in older homes with imperfect walls and floors.
We’ll explain options and tradeoffs so you can pick the right approach for style, budget, and durability.
From small upgrades to larger remodel support, we keep the work organized and moving forward.

“Conscientious, professional & trustworthy! Excellent workmanship.”
“For context, the initial contractor I hired for my basement finishing project took my money and then ghosted me until he landed in claims court. Needless to say, it didn’t work out too well for that guy ;). So, I found Moonz Contracting via the Thumbtack app and chose them because they were highly rated. O’Neil remained professional, prompt, fair in cost, responsive, and a skilled tradesman the entire time. The subcontractors he hired for painting and electrical were great. Most importantly, O’Neil takes care of his customers and is a man of his word especially if/when inevitable mistakes happen.. Close to the end of the project, one of his former crewmen accidentally cut through a water pipe that leaked and damaged a large portion of the wall and some trim. O’Neil himself came over in between other jobs on weekends to repair it at no additional cost. I had already paid him for the project. He could’ve ghosted like the other guy, but he didn’t. He is hard-working and thorough. Another example: after the paint crew finished, O’Neil came in for a walkthrough and observed a couple spots that were not to his satisfaction and he promptly called the painter and had them come back out within a few days to button up some things. Also, a project like this takes months, with work and kids’ schedules, you need to be able to trust a person to come and go from your property when you’re not home. O’Neil is about as trustworthy as they come. He had full access to my home while we weren’t there. He and his crew were very respectful of our kids, too. I can’t say enough about O’Neil and Moonz Contracting. They turned my completely unfinished eyesore of a basement into what’s quickly become the favorite space in our home. We highly recommend!!”
